PREPARING FOR YOUR TATTOO APPOINTMENT
1. Hygiene and Health:
On the day of your appointment, it's essential to prioritize your hygiene and health. Make sure you've showered and cleaned the area where you'll be getting tattooed. Avoid alcohol and non prescribed drugs before your session, as these can thin your blood and potentially lead to complications during the tattooing process.
2. Comfort and Clothing:
Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area where you'll be tattooed. Consider the placement of your tattoo when choosing your outfit. Loose, breathable clothing is often a good choice to ensure you stay comfortable throughout the session.
3. Hydration and Nutrition:
Staying hydrated and having a good meal before your appointment is important. Being well-hydrated helps your skin take the ink more easily, and having a meal ensures your energy levels remain stable during the tattooing process. Avoid caffeine right before your session, as it can make you jittery.
4. Design Finalization and Placement:
Ensure that you have finalized the placement well before your appointment. This avoids any last-minute changes that could prolong the session unnecessarily. Trust your artist's expertise in placement; we know how to make your tattoo look its best on your body.
5. Settle your nerves:
We want you to be super comfortable in the studio so please bring in anything that can set your mind at ease, weather its a book, fuzzy socks, headphone, or your iPad with pre-downloaded movies to help take your mind off of things.
Payment:
Most studios require a deposit when booking your appointment. Make sure you understand the studio's payment policies and bring enough cash or save the transfer details i provide in my booking email.
Aftercare Preparation:
Finally, familiarize yourself with the aftercare instructions provided in the aftercare section of my website. Proper aftercare is crucial for the healing process and the longevity of your tattoo. Purchase any recommended aftercare products in advance so you can start caring for your new ink as soon as possible. I love using bepanthen you can buy it at most chemists.
By following these pre-appointment guidelines, you'll set yourself up for a smooth and enjoyable tattoo experience. Remember, communication with your artist is key, so don't hesitate to ask me questions or voice any concerns you may have. I look forward to creating a beautiful piece of art with you.
